Hi, my name is Jen.
I have been married to the most amazing man for over 40 years, I am the luckiest mother of three beautiful grown women, and grandmother to four children who gave my life a new meaning.
At the age of 15, I met a dear friend who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, she was so fearless! I was amazed at her strength both physically and emotionally. This friendship changed my life forever, she gave me a gift that I will never be able to repay, unconditional love and respect.
I owned and operated a successful Wedding photography business for over 15 years as well as shooting commercially.
I enjoyed my work as a photographer but decided to close that chapter of my life to follow my heart and go to work with people with disabilities. Best decision I ever made!
I became a group home manager for a non-profit organization, I held this position for 10 years. The five men that I served filled my heart with a joy that words cannot describe, I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
Fast forward to May of 2022 when I had the opportunity to photograph a school that serves children with disabilities, I realized that I could combine my two professional passions into a business that, in my opinion, is greatly underserved and much needed.
I see people differently. I believe God has created us all uniquely perfect and my goal with this adventure is to showcase the shining souls of people that have may have a disability but refuse to let it define who they are.
Hi, my name is Molly.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have three beautiful daughters, four dogs, three cats, two goats, and about 20 chickens. Some people may think we are crazy, but we love every second of the "crazy train" we have built together!
I believe that life is meant to be celebrated!
Let Your Soul Shine Photography allows me to help people embrace the many gifts they have to offer and celebrate their own lives.
I love the days when I capture the Shining Souls of the people we serve. I believe God created everyone uniquely perfect and it is an honor to meet so many genuine, fearless, giving, and beautiful people who love unconditionally. I am blessed to have a job that gives me so much joy and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
Hi, my name is Scott.
I am a father of three grown children and grandfather to three amazing boys who show me the world in a different light!
I am happily retired from the U.S. Postal Service and spent most of my adult life as a photography enthusiast.
I have rarely met a stranger and will strike up a conversation with just about anyone.
About 15 years ago, I was introduced to 5 very special gentlemen and formed friendships that changed my life. I have learned what it means to be "genuine" from these guys. Yes, they each have some type of disability but in my opinion, we all have some level of disability or (different ability).
My hope is that someday soon, our world will realize that someone may look or act a little different than others, and the world will be comfortable and accept these differences without hesitation or prejudice.
My work at Let Your Soul Shine has been one of the most rewarding and exciting opportunities I have ever experienced. I get to strike up new conversations with the most interesting people!
Our team consists of experienced and skilled photographers who specialize in working with adults and children with disabilities.
We believe that EVERYONE has a story to tell, a gift to share, and a purpose to fulfill.
Our goal is to capture these Shining Souls and to break down the barriers that are associated with having a disability. Everyone is created equal does not mean that we are all created to be "the same", we celebratework each person for their unique gifts.
Our primary purpose is to provide quality portraits to people with disabilities. We bring our studio to schools, workshops, day programs, events, and homes. Our experience in working with people with disabilities has given us the ability to create an environment that is sensitive and conducive to capturing professional authentic portraits that will highlight the shining souls of our clients.
WHY
WE SEE THINGS THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS
What exactly does that mean? It is our belief that we are all created uniquely perfect. People are tall, people are short, some have red hair, some have brown. Some people can sing like an angel while others (myself included) can’t carry a tune to save their life. The point is we are all uniquely different and perfect in our own way.
We see people with disabilities as uniquely perfect. They are genuine, authentic, sincere, honest, caring and loving people. Some of our friends may need a wheelchair to get around, some may not be able to speak or hear our words, but these differences never stop us from forming meaningful lasting friendships.
We don’t see a disability, we see shining souls that have a story to tell, a gift to share, a purpose to fulfill.
Our goal is to capture these shining souls for who they are and the gifts they have.
