My name is Jen and I’d like to share a little bit about myself.
For the past ten years, I have been employed by a non-profit organization as a group home manager serving five gentlemen with disabilities.
Prior to this, I owned and operated a
photography studio for approximately 10 years that was focused primarily on weddings.
I enjoyed my work as a photographer but made the decision to close that chapter of my
life to follow my heart to work with people with disabilities. Best decision I ever made!
The five men that I served filled my heart with a joy that words cannot describe, I knew I
was exactly where I was supposed to be.
Fast forward to May of 2022 when I had the opportunity to photograph a school that
serves children with disabilities; I realized that I could combine my two
professional passions into a business that, in my opinion, is greatly underserved and
much needed.
I see people differently. I that believe God has created us all uniquely perfect and my goal with this new adventure is to showcase the shining souls of people that have been given the label of disabled.
My name is Sarah and here is my story.
I began working with individuals with disabilities at age 19 while attending college.
I started as a direct support professional working with 8 gentlemen with high behavioral needs and by the end of that first summer, they had my heart and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Once I graduated from college, I continued my career as a QIDDP for a non profit organization and went on to fill many different roles during my 26 years of employment.
I made the decision to leave a career that has always been a big part of who I am in order to devote more time to my family.
I met Jen in 2013 through work and we quickly built a strong working relationship as well as a great friendship.
Life has a funny way of putting the right things, at the right time, in your path. I received a call from Jen early in 2023 regarding this new adventure and I immediately knew I needed to be involved. I look forward to applying my knowledge skills into the success of “Let Your soul Shine Photography”

WHY
WE SEE THINGS THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS
What exactly does that mean? It is our belief that we are all created uniquely perfect. People are tall, people are short, some have red hair, some have brown. Some people can sing like an angel while others (myself included) can’t carry a tune to save their life. The point is we are all uniquely different and perfect in our own way.
We see people with disabilities as uniquely perfect. They are genuine, authentic, sincere, honest, caring and loving people. Some of our friends may need a wheelchair to get around, some may not be able to speak or hear our words, but these differences never stop us from forming meaningful lasting friendships.
We don’t see a disability, we see shining souls that have a story to tell, a gift to share, a purpose to fulfill.
Our goal is to capture these shining souls for who they are and the gifts they have.
